Uphams-TGH "Business Bazaar" Participants
From day one students are expected to not only learn basic computers and work on their one year goal statements...they are expected to take their newly acquired skills to a whole new level.
Throughout the year, we've noticed many students who have expressed a desire to learn how to make money with their computer investment. They wanted to be able to make their purchase pay for itself!
Uphams-Dudley Technology Goes Home takes pride in knowing that we are a student driven organization. As a result, we added a financial literacy and a small business component to the curriculum. Students learn how to create a budget, save etc, and they are given a wealth of information from representatives from our small business department. They also work on a marketing materials and a 60-second sales pitch.
As a final project, students combine their intellectual resources and participate in a Business Bazaar where they bring their goods to the center for sale. This is also fundraiser for the technology center.
There will be plenty of international foods, holiday baked goods, arts & crafts and for sale. Please stop by to support them.
